What is Baseline Data?

 Baseline data refers to information collected before the implementation of a program, policy, or intervention. It represents the starting point against which future progress and change are measured.

 

Example:

If a school wants to improve Grade 6 literacy outcomes, the baseline may be the current average reading score or percentage of learners reading at grade level
